Dr. Alexina Mehta, N.D., encountered yoga and spiritual traditions at a young age. Her great grandfather, R.B. Lal Singh Mehta, was on a team who discovered the oldest written book ever found on earth so far, the Diamond Sutras. The book teaches about enlightenment and compassion, which are essential to Dr. Mehta’s life.
Dr. Mehta has a thriving practice in Kitsilano, Vancouver, focusing on family medicine, women’s health, hormone imbalances, pediatrics, digestive health, weight loss, sports performance, mind-body awareness, and chronic disease. She brings an inspirational, uplifting, refreshing, and innovative approach to natural medicine, having overcome a serious illness at an early age by teaching herself about healing, which required thinking outside the box. This led her to pursue Naturopathic Medicine, which offers many appealing patient options.
Dr. Mehta gained her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine and received her undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia. As an award-winning doctor, she has guided many to not just better health but also peace of mind. In addition, she has done extensive studies in energy medicine in various disciplines and currently mentors physicians and healthcare practitioners on how to be more holistic in their approach to medicine.
Dr. Mehta has been regularly teaching and guiding events centered on inspirational Natural Medicine, women’s health, and mind-body education for the last seven years.
